Egg Drop Contest

The Great Egg-Drop Contest was a fun, engaging activity that encouraged hands-on work and out-of-the-box thinking in the areas of science and engineering. SIS students collected materials to design a contraption to protect their raw egg when tossed off a roof. The results were outstanding. Most eggs survived Round 1 (3-meter drop) and Round 2 (dropped from four-story building). The judges scored not only on the success of protecting the eggs, but on engineering designs and creativity. Third place went to Pichu and Hang (Year 4). Second place went to Alisha (Year 4). The champions of the first annual “Great Egg Drop Contest” went to Bill and Leo (Year 6).
